Check of the Rapid Reaction Forces
Pursuant to the order of the Minister of Defence and upon decision by the President of the Republic, the check of operational capabilities of a part of Serbian Armed Forces units was initiated last night. That was an extraordinary, snap, field inspection control of operational capabilities of a part of rapid reaction forces that will last until 9th March on several locations in Serbia.
The first operational capabilities check was initiated by sounding alarm from the Operational Centre of Defence System in the presence of the Minister of Defence Zoran Đorđević and the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Ljubiša Diković.
For the duration of the inspection, the focus will be placed on the readiness of units to respond to assigned tasks in the shortest period of time, in the framework of envisaged crisis scenarios. The exercise activities will involve combined marches of the units, live shooting, and dealing with different combat suppositions with executing special actions.
The aim of the inspection is to achieve as high level as possible of training and combat readiness of the units of the Serbian Armed Forces to respond to possible risks and threats to the safety of the state.
