Session of the Council for Safety of Military Traffic Participants
The second session of the Council for Safety of Military Traffic Participants in 2016 was held in the Department of General Logistics, Material Resources Sector, where analysis of safety of military traffic participants for the period January-September 2016 was conducted and the Council's work plan for 2017 and Annual plan for the implementation of the prevention activities to increase the safety of military traffic participants in 2017 adopted.The session was led by Colonel Danijel Radak, Head of Movement and Transportation Section, General Logistics Department, Material Resources Sector, and attended by members of the Council – representatives of the units and establishments of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Interior and the Agency for Traffic Safety.
Analysis of the safety of military traffic participants was focused on the state the safety of military participants and the basic indicators relating to military vehicles for the period January-September 2016. It was noted that the situation is slightly better compared to 2015, but it was necessary to work intensively on maintaining the current state.
Council members concluded that in 2017, it will be necessary to continue activities to improve the safety of military traffic participants, especially by organizing a expert conference and celebrating the day of safety of military traffic participants.
