Towards the promotion of the youngest Serbian Armed Forces officers
The commissioning ceremony of lieutenants in front of the National Assembly building is to be held this year for the eleventh time.
A number of 158 male and female cadets of the Military Academy and 26 of the 2nd class of the MMA Faculty of Medicine will be promoted to the first officer's rank. One cadet from Angola will also be promoted this year to the rank of second lieutenant.
According to the protocol of the ceremony, it has been planned that the best in the rank are presented with sabres, while the most successful cadets of the Army and the Air Force and Air Defence will be presented pistols with inscription. The best cadets of the MMA Faculty of Medicine will be presented with parade daggers.
Besides the ceremonial parade, the ceremony programme includes sorties of the Serbian Armed Forces aircraft, and the ceremony will be added solemnity by musical programme performed by the Stanislav Binicki Art Ensemble of the MoD and the Representative Orchestra of the Guard.
Preparations for the commissioning ceremony of the youngest lieutenants are well underway at the Military Academy, where the cadets and future lieutenants are rehearsing for a parade and ceremony protocol.
