An Evening of Operatic Arias
In the Conference Hall of the Central Military Club, a concert "An Evening of Operatic Arias" under the baton of Paul Medakovic was held.Students of music schools "Mokranjac" and "Stankovic" from the class of professors Valentina Tiskova, Ljubica Zivkovic and Ivana Dimitrijevic-Arandjelovic showed the skills of solo singing, accompanied by the orchestra of the "Stanislav Binicki" Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence.
The young talents showed their acquired knowledge through arias from The Marriage of Figaro as well as Rigoletto, Lakme and others.
During the two-hour concert,the audience had the opportunity to enjoy also in duets. Flower Duet from Lakme was performed by Milica Markovic and Bojana Panovska, while classics like La donna e mobile and O sole mio were performed by three tenors – Milos Bijelic, Marko Ristic and Marko Kostic.
"An Evening of operatic arias" concert is one in a series of concerts whose aim is to present young musical talents of Serbia, in cooperation with music schools and the Orchestra of the Ministry of Defence.
