Speaking about the successful business year of the factory, Minister Djordjevic pointed out that "Prva Petoletka – namenska" Company represents an important segment of the Serbian defence industry and that the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence will continue to support it.
- From 2012 until today the factory made a big step forward. Today it settles all obligations to employees and the state, which is good news, as well as the fact that the revenue doubled in that period, the Minister said adding that the increase in exports is expected.
Director of "Prva petoletka – namenska" Andjelka Atanaskovic said that the factory has successfully coped with very difficult conditions in which it operates.
- We have a very diverse programme which is important for the country. Since 2014, we have regularly paid salaries, we have paid all the taxes and contributions, and after thirty years, we managed to buy nine new machines, which is a big progress for this factory, said Atanaskovic and added that it would not be possible without the state aid but also the understanding of the employees.
"Prva Petoletka – namenska a.d.", that ended 2015 with a turnover of over one billion and one hundred million dinars, employs 630 workers. The factory represents a significant part of the Serbian defence industry and is an important negotiator on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and the Government of the Republic of Serbia with Airbus and the Russian partner for future cooperation in the overhaul of helicopters, in the "Moma Stanojlovic" Institute , and represents a significant factor in the procurement of spare parts for aviation as well as an important supplier of the Serbian Armed Forces in the mortars programme.
