Protocol on establishment of a regional centre for helicopter maintenance signed



Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and First Deputy Director of Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation Andrey Boytsov signed a protocol on the establishment of a regional centre for the maintenance of Russian-made helicopters. This is the first document which operationalizes work on this project, initiated during the visit of Prime Minister and the Government of the Republic of Serbia to the President and the Government of the Russian Federation in October 2015.

The project envisages the establishment of a regional centre in the Republic of Serbia to maintain Russian-made helicopters that are in use in the region and the world. In the following period, the parties will agree on the details and deadlines of the realization of the project.

The project was assessed by both sides as one of the priority directions of further cooperation in the military technical field.
