General Dikovic proud of the Guardsmen
After the splendid military parade held today in the main Beijing square, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic gave the highest mark to our guardsmen.- Our soldiers were up to the task. Side by side with other armies, not just today and not only because of the presented movement with the military step, but all the time of their stay in Beijing, where they were an example of military discipline, General Dikovic said.
He also noted that our delegation had opportunity today to talk with representatives of the Chinese army on further flows of cooperation, saying that it is the privilege today to have China as a friend.
According to him, by superbly organized and executed parade the host displayed a part of the potential of one of the world's economic and military powers.
Today, at Tiananmen Square, the People's Republic of China has organised the largest-ever military parade to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism and the victory of the Chinese People in the Liberation War against Japan. In addition to Chinese soldiers, members of the armies from 17 countries participated in the parade as well, including the Serbian Armed Forces Guard.
