General Dikovic visiting Austria
Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubisa Dikovic met in Vienna yesterday with Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Austria General Othmar Commenda.During the talks, the two generals discussed the current political-security situation in the Western Balkans, present cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Austrian Armed Forces, and they exchanged experience from deployments in multinational operations and combat groups of the European Union, also focusing on the improvement of cooperation in the field of CBRN cooperation, establishment of military medical cooperation and cooperation between engineering units.
Generals Dikovic and Commenda also exchanged opinions on establishing cooperation in multinational operations.
In the further course of the official visit to the Republic of Austria, the SAF delegation visited the Third Engineering Battalion, the CBRN Defence School and the Military Historical Museum.
General Dikovic laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to Serbian war victims at the Central Vienna Cemetery.
