Santa Claus and Good Fairies landed at the Batajnica airport
Members of the 204th Air Force Brigade of the Armed Forces of Serbia organized today at the airport Batajnica the traditional action “Landing of Santa Claus and the Good Fairy” for the youngest ones from Belgrade orphanages and shelters. The action was realized in cooperation with the humanitarian action “The gift of a smile”. Around fifty children received New Year’s gift bags, and, aside from Santa Claus (Sergeant Major Goran Krajinovic) and the Good Fairies (corporal Kristina Devrnja and private Marijana Bursac), other members of the unit also socialized with the children.
This year, the honor and pleasure of “bringing” Santa Claus was given to members of the 138th transportation aviation squadron in T-70 aircraft.
Special guest at the handover of gifts was 9 year-old Ivan Vujic from Obrenovac, who, during the rescuing in this year’s floods, had fallen out of a boat full of children and managed to stay on the surface in spite of the strength of the water current.
