Anniversary of the Battle of Kadinjaca marked
With a requiem for killed warriors held by priests of the church of Uzice and laying of wreaths at the Memorial Complex “Kadinjaca”, the 73rd anniversart of the Battle of Kadinjaca, where the entire Workers Battalion was killed while defending the Republic of Uzice, was marked today. On behalf of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia, wreaths were laid by the delegation of the Second Army Brigade, headed by Commander Brigadier General Marinko Pavlovic, and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, wreaths were laid by the delegation of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy headed by State Secretary Dragan Popovic. Wreaths were also laid by the delegation of the City of Uzice, SUBNOR, descendants of the warriors and delegations of other associations and organizations.
After the laying of the wreaths, a cultural program was held, with performances of actors of the theater from Uzice.
