"Open Day" at Nis airport
Several thousand citizens of Niš and the surrounding places attended the "Open Day" campaign, which was organized at the Nis military airport .Members of the 98th Aviation Brigade displayed a part of the military technique, demonstrated the work of search and rescue service and capabilities of helicopters "Gazelle", "Mi-8" and training aircraft, "Utva-75", while members of the 63rd Parachute Battalion of the Special Brigade performed demo jumps and displayed modern arms.
The youngest visitors were most interested in combat aircraft.
Colonel Dejan Vasiljevic, Deputy Commander of the 98th Aviation Brigade, demonstrated qualifications of pilots on "Utva-75" training aircraft, which has been used in the selection of pilots for initial flight training.- It is a real pleasure to see so many fans of aviation - Colonel Vasiljevic said - especially children, who are, as a rule, our most faithful audience. We believe that we adequately represented our unit, the Air Force and the Serbian Armed Forces.
