International educational workshop for teacher training closes



In the amphitheatre of the Centre for Simulation and Distance Learning of the Military Academy today, participants in the Eighth Annual Multinational Educational Workshop " New students, new methods, new assessments", for training of teachers, aimed at improving the ability of teachers to transfer knowledge in the field of military education have been officially awarded certificates.

Congratulating the participants on the successful work, Lieutenant General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtic, Rector of the University of Defence, expressed his satisfaction with the results of the workshop, but also the hope that using new knowledge in their future professional activities they will achieve even better results.

- Our country pays great attention to education and knowledge, we believe in that the most and we work on that a lot and we wish to share with you what we know, but we also wish to learn from you – General Jevtic said, pointing to the fact that in our military schools, at all levels, educating students from many countries.

John Kane, a representative of the NATO Partnership for Peace Consortium that is organizer of the event along with the University of Defence, thanked the hosts for their hospitality, pointing out that critical thinking is the key to education, and those who participated in the workshop are those who can influence on the improvement of the work in their institutions. He also thanked the participants for the opportunity to share ideas, knowledge and experiences.

This is the first workshop organized in South East Europe which was attended by representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Macedonia, Georgia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia and Ukraine, as well as three representatives from the Republic of Serbia with teachers from Canada, Germany, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine and the United States of America.
