New facility in Sloboda Cacak for ammo laboration opened



In the Cacak-based company "Sloboda" today a new facility for laboration of artillery ammunition was opened today, the ceremony being attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Army Chief of Serbian General Ljubisa Dikovic with their associates.

The Minister, after a tour of the plant and opening the facility said that the government will significantly help the defence industry, and announced a closer control of the funds invested.

- This means that we will support investments and new places. I was pleased today while talking with workers who work in much better conditions and to see there is a future for their factory - said the minister, adding that control of spending and investments can contribute to what the future will be able to increase capital.

He also expressed his belief that the defense is the main force in Serbia’s industry and announced that, significant measures would be brought to improve the production of arms factories.

- We believe that the management is doing well and can do even better and I hope that everyone else understands the message, because Serbia will each year invest in new businesses, but that money can be returned - the minister said, adding that he was proud of the people in the factory who started modernizing their factories offering something new to the market.

According to the director of "Sloboda" Zoran Stefanovic, this is a very important day in the history of the company, as a building that the company has needed for a long time has been completed.

- This facility and technology will enable us to produce much higher productivity and efficiency. I want to thank our government for its support, as well as all company employees who managed to complete the project- Stefanovic said, adding that the cost of the project amounted to over five million and will be compared to the previous level of production capacity increase threefold.
