Awards for ladies of Art Ensemble Stanislav Binicki
Ladies from the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, Stanislav Bini?ki, are this year's award winners of the Creative Lady 2011 award by the Business Reporters Club. The award is given to women who showed their creativity in business and made business of their creativity.
The plaque was presented to the ladies by Merima Njegomir, the winner of the last year's award, and Biljana Popovic, the only women in the country that manufactures violins.
The members of the Art Ensemble thanked for the award with the belief that they will continue to receive support for their work in the future.
Ladies of the Stanislav Bini?ki Ensemble, along with their colleagues musicians, have been committed to creating, implementing and maintaining the inspiring melodies for years, which become magic through their instruments. In 1947, it was for the first time that a woman was admitted in the composition of the orchestra, which has existed for over a century. Today, there are nine of them in the ensemble and they are Gorana Om?ikus, Tatjana Sucin, Mirjana Vukadinovic, Biljana Petrovic, Dragana Miletic, Ivana Sremac Stojanovic, Natasa Milosevic, Jelena Radujkovic and Sanja Radic.
At the ceremony held at the National Assembly, they performed the Tango from the movie Scent of a Woman.
The Business Ladies of Serbia event has been held annually for the past three years sponsored by the Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic.
- We are satisfied that we have gathered today to celebrate courage and inspiration of women. Courage, because the work and creativity are not assigned to males and females, and boldest ones among them showed that by their work. The inspiration, because the winning ladies are model for all the women in Serbia and that they hold a great resource that could make Serbia a better country, the Parliament Speaker said.
The award "Creative Lady 2011" was given to Gorica Popovic, an actress, producer and director, Vesna Dedic, a reporter, Aleksandra Savic, spokesperson of the Belgrade Natural History Museum, Snezana Divac, president of the Divac humanitarian organization and Maja Milos, the film director.
Golden plaque for "Business Lady 2011" was received by Indira Petrovic, director of the factory Tetra Pak from Gornji Milanovac.
At the ceremony, Business Lady 2011 plaques went also to Milena Andjic (RICC, Prokuplje), Jasmina Radivojevi? (AMR, Para?in), Biljana Jovanovic (Luna), Prof. Milica Lazovi? (Institute for Rehabilitation, Belgrade) and Ruzica Djurdjevic (Intermehanika Smederevo).
