Days of Serbian Cuisine

To mark the National Day of Serbia from 13 to 18 February, in restaurants, military institutions, "Dedinje" - in the Home Army, the hotel "Bristol" restaurant "Lipov lad" and the restaurant in Štrosmajerovoj street in Zemun, "Days of Serbian cuisine were held"

Citizens and members of the defense system could savour a wide range of traditional Serbian specialties prepared the "military style", following traditional recipes and all prescribed standards, while enjoying the music and the Serbian tambura orchestra.

- Manifestation "Days of Serbian cuisine" is being organized for the first this year, on occasion National Day and we intend to turn it into a tradition. Guests are greeted at the door and a hostess, a young girl, dressed in Serbian traditional apparel, welcomes the guests with Serbian bread, and boiled brandy – while the Serbian buffet consists of specialties all for 400 RSD – as Director of Military Institution "Dedinje" Lt. Col. Dejan Mrljes says.

These days, the restaurant that was most visited was in the Central Military Club where, according to manager Kisic Ceda often was all very much, so well done that they have booked it by phone.

- In addition to affordable prices for lunch, and drinks were offered at prices from 100 RSD for soft drinks, beer, spirits and local drinks, up to 2,000 RSD for a bottle of good wine - says manager Kisic. - After this event we will offer our guests lunch for 350 RSD, and the menu is a soup, main course salad, bread and cake.

The largest attendance was on Valentine's Day when many couples come to enjoy the restaurants in the military in its celebration and, as the other guests are not disappointed.

- Guests can sample well arranged and prepared variety of dishes, from beef and ham, various cheeses and cream, strudels, jelly, and lamb stew, cabbage rolls, boiled cabbage, beans, pork and lamb roasts and cakes and cookies as a treat – as the main cook in the restaurant in the Central Military Club, Borivoje Ristic listed.

Lunch was from 13 to 17 hours in a pleasant atmosphere with music, so guests could also enjoy lunch on Friday and Saturday.
