SAF ready to maintain security



Serbian Army Chief of Staff Gen. Miloje Miletic said on 24 September in the "Duke Petar Bojovic" in Sinkovac near Leskovac, during the swearing-88 204 soldiers and cadets, the Serbian Army is ready to respond to all threats to the country's security as determined by the Republic of Serbia and added that "the path of European integration of the Serbian Army will not do anything to harm the citizens of Serbia ".

"The successes we have achieved in the reform processes in the Army are important links in the efforts of Serbia to join the European Union," Miletic said.

He said that the Serbian Army is harmonized according to best international standards in order to effectively respond to security challenges and fulfill its primary role.

After the process of professionalization, we continue to improve the training system, the modernization of armament and military equipment, "Miletic said, addressing young soldiers and citizens.

Furthermore, General Mileic said that the Serbian Army was developing military cooperation with countries from all continents.

"The benefit of citizens and the state are our top priority," said Miletic.

He stated that young men and women who have applied for voluntary military service and cadets prove in the best way that "young people in Serbia are aware of the importance of defense and security of their country."

"You have shown the commitment to date in this field and their personal contributions," said Miletic, who is "confident" that many who have applied for voluntary military service to stay in the Army of Serbia and professionally.

"The army will remain open to all citizens of Serbia, it can be seen here in Leskovac and in other training centers in Sombor, Valjevo," said Miletic, who personally congratulated the boys and girls on taking the military oath of allegiance.
