President promotes officers
On occasion of the National Day and the Day of the Serbian Army - 15 February, Serbian President Boris Tadic issued a decree on the appointment of the new duties, promotions to the higher rank and termination of service of senior officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.
The following military officers were appointed to the new duties:
- Brigadier General BJELICA MILAN, was promoted into Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces
- Major General JEVTIC MIODRAG, rector of the University of Defence,
- Brigadier General RADOVANOVIC GORAN the Deputy Commander of Training Command,
- Colonel NOVAKOVIC MARIJAN, Chief of the Military Medical Academy,
- Colonel ZARKOVIC DUSKO, the Chief of Staff Air Force,
- Colonel DEJAN JANKOVIC, the Chief of Military Police
- Colonel TODOROVIC MILOMIR, commander of the Guards
- Colonel GLISOVIC ZELIMIR, commander of the 3rd Brigade of the Army,
- Colonel BANDIC PREDRAG, commander of the 204th Aviation Brigade.
The following were promoted into the rank of a general by a decree of President Tadic:

CHIEF OF THE SERBIAN GENERAL STAFF
Serbian Chief of General Staff MILOJE MILETIC was born on 20 July 1953 in Blace. He completed the military academy, artillery department in 1976. He completed the General Staff School in 1995 and the School of National Defense of in 2000.
He was appointed as
Chief of General Staff of Serbia of 15 February 2009.
DEPUTY SAF CHIEF OF GENERAL STAFF
Deputy Chief of SAF GS Maj. Gen. BJELICA MILAN was born on 17 September 1956 in Stolac. He finished the Military Academy, department of infantry in 1979. He completed the General Staff School in 1995, and the General Staff training in 2001.
He was appointed the Chief of the Minister of Defense Cabinet on 31 October 2005.
DIRECTOR OF DEFENCE INSPECTORATE
The appointed Director of the Inspectorate of Defense Lieutenant General RADOJCIC PETER was born on 30 November 1956 in Zemun. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1979. He completed the General Staff School in 1997, and School of National Defense in 1999.
He served as director of the Defense Inspectorate since 23 July 2009.
COMMANDER OF THE TRAINING COMMAND
Commander of the Training Command Lieutenant General ZIVKOVIC ALEKSANDAR was born on 16 April 1960 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1983. He completed the General Staff School 1997, and the General Staff Training in 2004.
He has served as the commander of the Training Command since 27 February 2009.
RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DEFENSE
Rector of the University of Defence Major General JEVTIC MIODRAG was born on 10 September 1956 in Smederevo. He graduated from the medical school in 1981, specialized in general surgery in 1992 , and was awarded the title Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1997. He has served as the Chief of the Military Medical Academy since 8 April 2005.
DEPUTY COMMANDER OF THE ARMY
Deputy Commander Army Major General ŽIVKOVIC VIDOJE was born on 13 September 1956 in Ljubovija. He completed the military academy, artillery direction in 1979. He graduated from General Staff School 1996, and the General Staff Training in 2001.
He took the post of Deputy Commander of the Army on 10 July 2009.
CHIEF OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
The Head of the Planning and Development Major General Kovac Mitar was born on 27 July 1959 in Kalinovik. He completed the military academy, artillery department in 1981.
He finished the General Staff training in 2002 and became a doctor of military science in 1998.
He has been on the position of Chief of the Planning and Development Department since 12 March 2010.
HEAD OF THE INTELLIGENCE-RECONNAISSANCE AFFAIRS The Chief of the Intelligence and reconnaissance operations of SAF Brigadier General JANICIJEVIC SLAVOLJUB was born on 24 June 1961 in Plandiste. He finished the Military Academy, signaling department, in 1983.
He completed the General Staff School 1996, and the General Staff Training in 2004
He has been on the position of Chief Administration for intelligence and reconnaissance operations since 15 February 2010.
DEPUTY COMMANDER OF THE TRAINING COMMAND
The Deputy Commander of the Training Command Brigadier General RADOVANOVIC GORAN was born on 14 October 1962 in Zajecar. He graduated from the Military Academy, Department of Air Force missile units in 1984. He became the Master of Military Sciences, from 1998, and finished the General Staff Training in 2001.
He was appointed commander of the Guards of the SAF as of 12 November 2006.
CHIEF OF THE DEFENCE TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Chief of the Defence Technology Sector with Material Resources Brigadier General ZRNIC BOJAN was born on 18 October 1969 in Banja Luka. He finished the Military Technical Academy in 1992.He graduated from the Royal College in the UK 2007 year.
He was granted Master of Science degree in 1998, and PhD in 2001.
He has been the Chief of the Defense Technology Sector for Material Resources since 27th February 2010.
COMMANDER OF THE CENTRAL LOGISTICS BASE
Commander of the Central Logistics Base of Logistics Serbian Army General Staff Brigadier General ZEKOVIC GORAN was born on 1 July 1962 in Uzice. He graduated from the Military academy, artillery department in 1985.He finished the General Staff School in 1997, and the General Staff training in 2003.
He has been the commander of the Central Logistics Base since 27 February 2010. year.
HEAD OF THE MILITARY MEDICAL ACADEMY
Chief of the Military Medical Academy Colonel NOVAKOVIC MARIJAN was born on 3 August 1957 in Vucitrn. He graduated from the medical school in 1982, specialized in plastic surgery in 1988 and became the Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1998.He has been the Chief of the Clinic for Plastic Surgery and Burns, Military Medical Academy since 30 June 2004.
CHIEF OF THE MILITARY POLICE
Chief of Military Police Colonel DEJAN JANKOVIC was born on 15 January 1964 in Kosovska Mitrovica. He finished the Military Technical Academy finished in 1987, completed the command staff training in 2002, and the General Staff training in 2007.He has been at the post of Chief of the Military Security Agency Support Department since the 24th March 2010.
COMMANDER OF THE GUARD
Serbian Army Guard commander Colonel TODOROVIC MILOMIR was born on 29 November 1965 in Vitez. He finished the Military Academy, department of infantry completed in 1990. He finished the General Staff school in 2000, and the General Staff Training in 2008.
He has been the deputy commander of the Guards since 14 July 2008.
HEAD OF AIR FORCE STAFF
Chief of Air Force Staff Colonel ZARKOVIC DUSKO was born on 26 January 1968 in Benkovac. He finished the Military Academy, Department of Air Force in 1990. General Staff School completed in 1999 and the General Staff training in 2006.
He was appointed Assistant Commander for Operations at Air Force Command on 10 February 2010.
COMMANDER OF 3RD ARMY BRIGADE
Commander of the 3rd Brigade Army Colonel GLISOVIC ZELIMIR was born on 17 December 1965 in Novi Pazar. He finished the Military Academy, Department of armored mechanized units in 1988. He finished the Command Staff training in 1998 , and the General Staff training in 2005.
He took the post of deputy commander of the 3rd Brigade of the Army on 8 October 2008.
COMMANDER 204th AVIATION BRIGADE
Commander of the 204th Aviation Brigade, Air Force Colonel BANDIC PREDRAG was born on 24th July 1968 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Air force military academy in 1991. He completed the General Staff School 1999, and the National War College in USA in 2009.
He took the position of Chief of Operations in the Air Force Command on 10 February 2010.
