St. Sava day marked in the Military Grammar School



St. Sava Day, the day of Serbian Schools Patron Saint, was marked today in the Military Grammar School to honor the first educator and archbishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church. This ceremony is traditionally marked along with the pupils of the Sports Grammar School.

The ceremony was attended by State Secretary in MoD Igor Jovicic, Head of the MA Brig. Gen. Mladen Vuruna and the representatives of the MoD, SAF, cadtes of the MA, students and numerous guests.
Following the religious service held by Bishop of Hvost Atanasije Rakita, and the vicar of the Serbian Patriarch, deputy Prinicpal of the Military Grammar School LT. Col. Dragan Jovanovic and the Prinicpal of the Sports Grammar School Vesna Muratovic-Drobac broke the traditional cake.

The guests had an opportunity to enjoy a rich cultural program dedicated to the life and work of the first Serbian educator by performing the St. Sava anthem, prepared by the students and teachers of two schools.
