Training on modernised KUB-M2(SM) missile systems

The 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade units are currently undergoing training with the KUB-M2(SM) missile system needed to implement the intended tasks, mainly in the stages of preparation and execution of anti-aircraft operations.

The training is intended to refresh the knowledge and perfect the skills needed to undertake high-quality and timely tactical actions, and especially the combat work of the crews for engaging aerial targets.

In the process of modernisation, the tactical and technical features of the missile system were improved in terms of automation of the executive command process, detection and acquisition of targets and anti-electronic protection, while training of the combat crews improves the collective skills in preparing and executing the march, taking up the combat disposition, effective observation, detection, tracking and firing at a target.
While preparing and conducting combat operations, replenishing the combat set of the self-propelled launchers is an important activity, so, in this training phase, reloading and arming with missiles according to the given norms is actively practised.

A large number of complex tasks and activities, as well as obligatory coordinated work of all system elements and combat crews, require maximum skilfulness, concentration and high proficiency from the unit members on the whole, in a situation where the speed of reaction and accuracy are crucial.
Training is therefore constantly on the agenda and is carried out almost daily to preserve and improve the abilities to engage as part of the permanently deployed forces for control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia, i.e. to defend the Serbian Armed Forces units, important facilities and areas from aerial attacks.
