Gun salute fired in Kalemegdan to mark Serbian Armed Forces Day
By order of the President of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, members of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard have fired today gun salute from the Sava Terrace on Kalemegdan, on the eve of the Serbian Armed Forces Day - 23rd April.

A 10-volley gun salute fired from six artillery pieces was attended by Defence Minister Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović.

The Serbian Armed Forces Day is celebrated in memory of the Second Serbian Uprising, which took place on 23rd April 1815 and marked the foundation for the creation of the modern Serbian state and army.
