16th meeting of Serbia-Egypt Mixed Military Committee held in Belgrade

The sixteenth meeting of the Serbia-Egypt Mixed Military Committee responsible for overseeing the defence cooperation between the two countries has been held in Belgrade.
The MoD delegation was headed by Nenad Miloradović, Ph.D., Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources and co-chairman of the Serbian part of the Mixed Military Committee, while the Egyptian delegation was headed by Brigadier General Mohamed Mahmoud Masoud, Head of the Crisis Management Department, Operation Authority of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The two sides agreed that even though the committee meeting was postponed at the end of last year, this did not affect cooperation dynamics, given that the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for the current year had been agreed on.
At the beginning of the meeting, the parties assessed the cooperation so far as successful and agreed to continue and intensify cooperation in the spheres of military economics, military-to-military relations and military education.

The meeting also reviewed joint activities carried out over the past year and discussed and further specified the activities included in the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for the current year.

In the coming period, special attention will be given to advanced forms of joint personnel training and the exchange of experiences in the use of similar types of weapons and military equipment used by the armed forces of the two countries.
At the meeting, the two delegations had an opportunity to review the progress of cooperation maintained through the recently formed committee overseeing the military-technical cooperation between Serbia and Egypt.

The meeting of the Mixed Military-Technical Committee will be held in May in Serbia, where specific cooperation projects in the fields of military economics and technology will be discussed.
