SAF members successful in 32nd Novi Sad Half Marathon



Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces achieved notable success in the 32nd Novi Sad Half Marathon today.  
The 72nd Special Operations Brigade team won the relay race (21.097 km), the 63rd Parachute Brigade finished second, while the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre” came in third.   

Tijana Kabić from the Training Command took first place among women in the individual 21.097 km race, while Captain Milica Marković from the Military Intelligence Agency came in third. Among male runners, Milivoje Jovović from the Technical Test Centre took second place in same race.
Military Academy cadet Stefan Novković (149th class) and Sergeant Mitar Andrić from the 72nd Special Operations Brigade won second and third places respectively in the 10.5 km race. The 5 km race winner was Janko Urošević from the Military Technical Institute.
 
Marija Panić from the Military Academy won the 10.5 km Nordic walking race.
  The 32nd Novi Sad Half Marathon brought together more than 1,800 runners from over 20 countries, including a record number of competitors from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. Almost 300 competitors worthily represented their units and institutions, and the results they achieved show that special attention is paid to physical fitness in the defence system as one of the basic prerequisites for creating quality personnel.
