President of Burundi lays wreath at Monument to Unknown Hero on Mt. Avala



As part of his official visit to our country, the President of the Republic of Burundi, Évariste Ndayishimiye, accompanied by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Gen. Milan Mojsilović, laid a wreath today at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mount Avala.
After the wreath-laying ceremony with the Honour Guard in attendance and the national anthems of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Burundi played,
President Ndayishimiye signed the monument’s guest book, writing the following message:
“We pay our respects to all your soldiers who laid down their lives for freedom and independence. God bless Serbia”.
