Cadets undergo tactical training in SAF infantry units

This week, cadets who are in their final year at the Military Academy are being taught the content of the subject entitled ‘Infantry Unit Tactics” at Base South and Borovac Training Area.
The tactical training aims to teach future infantry officers of the Serbian Armed Forces how to command units in their entry-level officer roles, to teach them the specificities of moving an evolution unit into combat, and to teach them how to organize attack and defence, and provide fire support to own unit.

In the Serbian Armed Forces infantry units, cadets are broadening the knowledge and skills they acquired while studying at the Military Academy. Field training is an excellent opportunity to evaluate their skills and independence in sorting out tactical situations and for SAF leaders to share with them the experiences gained during the infantry battalion’s engagements on various tasks.
Special forms of training conducted in the units and establishments of the Serbian Armed Forces — such as this week’s tactical training — are a mandatory part of education of final year Military Academy cadets, during which they gain knowledge, skills and practical experience that will help them prepare for their entry-level officer roles in the best possible way.
