Elite training, readiness for most complex tasks

Members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade undergo various types of training every day within and outside their peacetime base to improve their skills and maintain the unit’s combat readiness.
This tactical unit is organized modularly and is intended and trained to perform special operations, sabotage, counter-sabotage, counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations, as well as reconnaissance and intelligence collection, primarily within the enemy’s tactical and operational depths.

This week, combat teams from the Special Operations Battalion have conducted training in different types of relief and microclimates at several locations outside their base. The purpose of this regular activity is for unit members to improve their skills, familiarize themselves with the terrain and prepare for the execution of special operations.

The trainees practiced the tactics and procedures used by reconnaissance-sabotage teams amidst supply chain disruptions, intelligence gathering by means of special reconnaissance, surprise raids, and the tactical use of drones in special operations.
During the tactical drills that lasted for several days, combat teams’ skills were evaluated and their scores confirmed that even the newest members of the unit have developed remarkable physical, mental, marksmanship and tactical skills. They have shown that, like their more experienced co-workers, they are characterized by high morale and readiness to carry out the most complex tasks.
