Army soldiers in training

The Army Training Centre in Požarevac is currently conducting individual specialized skills training for soldiers who undertook their military service in December last year.
After completing their basic training, the soldiers were transferred to the Centre to prepare for their future roles, in line with their respective MOS. This Training Command unit provides training for dozens of different infantry, artillery, engineer and armoured specialties.

During this training phase, which is being conducted in the training areas and specialized labs located in the General Pavle Jurišić Šturm Barracks, soldiers are being trained in the combat use of mortars, artillery systems, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and explosive ordnance, and are practicing defensive and offensive tactics and procedures. In the next training phase, they will undergo field training and conduct exercises with explosive ordnance and firing practices using branch-specific weapons.
At the end of their specialized training in late February, the soldiers will undergo individual skills assessment, followed by collective training and their active involvement in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces units until the end of their military service.
