Minister Gašić meets with U.S. Ambassador Hill



Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić received a farewell visit from outgoing U.S. Ambassador Christopher Hill to mark the end of the latter’s tenure as ambassador to the Republic of Serbia.  
Minister Gašić thanked Ambassador Hill for his endeavours to strengthen the bonds between the Republic of Serbia and the United States of America, and particularly for his contribution to cooperation on defence and security.

During the meeting, Minister Gašić emphasized some of the key areas of cooperation and spoke about the most important activities carried out through mutual effort over the previous period, as well as about future cooperation.

During the conversation held in a friendly tone, the parties exchanged views on the current security situation, suggesting the need to continue close cooperation between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Gašić wished Ambassador Hill all the best for his future.

Ambassador Hill said he was glad to have had the opportunity to cooperate with Minister Gašić over the previous three years on various activities in the security domain. He emphasized that the cooperation between the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the United States of America had been on an upward trend and expressed hope that the trend would continue in the future.
