Military training for SAF NCO candidates

Non-commissioned officer candidates recruited from civilian life are currently undergoing the second module of military training at the “Sergeant Milunka Savić” NCO Training Centre in Pančevo.
This training model consists of four modules, which are conducted over a period of nine months in total. At the moment, the second class of NCO candidates, who applied for the competition in April last year and passed the selection process, is in training.

The first two modules are conducted at the centre located in Pančevo, where participants learn how to perform basic military tasks and develop leadership skills. At the moment, they are being taught how to conduct close-order drills, firearms, tactical and physical fitness training, and how to command a group and a squad.
Next, they will be sent to the Serbian Armed Forces specialized training centres and units, where they will do practical training in handling their branch/service-specific equipment, and in the final training phase they will do internship in the Serbian Armed Forces units.

The candidates who successfully complete all training stages will be fully prepared to perform entry-level NCO roles within their respective branches or services, and will become eligible for admission to professional military service as NCOs for an indefinite period of time.
