Minister Gašić’s message to mark Republika Srpska Day celebrations
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić has sent a message to the citizens and leadership of Republika Srpska to mark January 9, Republika Srpska Day and the feast of the Holy Protomartyr and Archdeacon Stephen.
"Our brothers in Republika Srpska fought honourably and heroically to gain the right to live autonomously in peace and prosperity today. That is why January 9 is a holiday celebrated with joy and pride by all Serbs in the motherland and abroad.
Today we all pray together to the Holy Archdeacon Stephen to intercede with the Lord on behalf of the Christ-loving and righteous Serbian people, to facilitate the development and progress of Republika Srpska for the benefit of all the people living there.
Dear brothers,
We wish you many blessings for Republic Day! Be united and brave in the face of every threat to the peace and well-being of the land of your great-grandfathers! Serbia stands with you now and forever!
Long live Republika Srpska!
