New Year’s gifts for children in health care and social welfare institutions
As the New Year approaches, members of the Serbian Armed Forces have organized traditional gift-giving events for children who will spend the upcoming holidays in health care and social welfare institutions.
As part of the Belgrade campaign, which has been organized by members of the Special Purpose MP Detachment “Kobre” since 2007, gifts were distributed to the children at the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology, Rehabilitation Clinic “Dr Miroslav Zotović”, University Children’s Clinic, Centre for the Protection of Infants, Children and Youth and the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care "Dr Vukan Čupić”.
A similar event has been organized by members of the Fourth Army Brigade. They gave gifts to the protégés of the Centre for the Development of Local Social Protection Services in Vranje, while members of the 126th ASEWG Brigade will surprise children with New Year's gifts at the Clinic of Oncology, University Clinic Niš.
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces distributed more than 400 gifts, spent time and took photos with the children and wished them a happy New Year filled with laughter and fun. They will continue with similar campaigns in the future, to brighten up the holidays for children who need attention and help the most.
