Minister of Defence meets with Chief Executive of France’s Directorate General of Armament



Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić met today with the Chief Executive of the Directorate General of Armament of the French Ministry of Armed Forces, Emmanuel Chiva.  
In the meeting, they stressed that the cooperation between the ministries of defence of Serbia and France was excellent, and that there was room for improvement in areas of mutual interest.
They discussed possible ways of improving cooperation in the field of defence industry and innovation, including cybersecurity and AI. There was also talk of the implementation of the Rafale project and modern armament, and the French side noted that the Directorate would provide full support to the Ministry of Defence in the implementation of the said projects.

State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance Ana Tripović and French Ambassador to Serbia Pierre Cochard were in attendance at today’s meeting.
As part of their visit to Serbia, the French delegation will visit Serbian defence industry companies to assess the possibilities of broadening the scope of cooperation and identifying potential future projects.
