Minister Sutanovac received the SAF, MoD members, participants of the peace mission in Lebanon



Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac received the MoD and SAF teams who are to participate in peace missions in Congo and Lebanon.

The members of the defense system of Serbia will be part of the UNFIL, UN mission in Lebanon for the first time as part of the Spanish contingent, while they have been engaged in MOMUSCO peace mission in Congo since 2003, where the 14th rotation is under way.

Minister Sutanovac stressed that the participation in peace missions is of extreme importance not only for the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian armed forces but also for the whole country. This is our way of giving our contribution to global peace, increasing our reputation which ranks as among those countries who can tackle modern challenges, threats and risks.

This is also a huge step towards our approximation to EU and speeding up the EU integrations.
