Computer-Assisted Simulation Exercise conducted by Third Brigade
This week, the command and units of the 3rd Army Brigade have conducted ‘East 2024’ Computer-Assisted Simulation Exercise.
The exercise was carried out at the Serbian Armed Forces Simulation Training Centre in Belgrade with the aim of improving the Brigade’s ability to plan, organise and undertake combat actions on the Serbian Armed Forces’ operations.
In accordance with the given scenario, staff procedures in the process of making military decisions were practised in a simulated operational environment, carrying out tactical scenarios that can be expected during the execution of operations, focusing on the use of their own remotely piloted aircraft and defence against those of the enemy.
Knowledge of the principles behind the use of units and resources was also checked, as well as the cooperation and interoperability with the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
Computer-assisted simulation exercises represent an important form of practical training of Serbian Armed Forces commands, since they provide an opportunity for staff officers and commands to train themselves in planning and conducting combat operations using the minimum amount of material resources.
