Defence Minister’s Collegium holds session
A session of the Defence Minister’s Collegium, chaired by Minister Bratislav Gašić, was held in Belgrade today.
On this occasion, the current security situation in the country and the region was discussed, and the members of the Collegium informed the Minister of Defence about the level of implementation of the tasks within their functional competences.
At today’s session, it was concluded that the Serbian Armed Forces are ready to respond to all challenges, risks and threats to the security of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia in the current complex geopolitical circumstances.
It was particularly emphasized that the main task in the forthcoming period will be to continue strengthening operational capabilities through the acquisition of modern arms and military equipment and modernisation of the existing ones, and the construction of new infrastructure and renovation of the existing one with the aim of improving the living and working conditions, as well as strengthening overall defence capacities.
