Minister Gašić meets with UAE Ambassador Almenhali
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić has met today with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Serbia, Ahmed Almenhali.
Minister Gašić expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and emphasized that the UAE represents one of the most important countries in the Middle East for Serbia. On that occasion, he emphasized that the preservation of traditionally good relations between the two countries is based on the friendship of the two peoples.
During today's meeting, the Minister of Defence recalled that the personal relations between the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, have contributed to the strengthening and development of overall bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of defence.
Minister Gašić emphasized that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces is committed to further enhancing the defence cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.
Ambassador Almenhali thanked Minister Gašić for the opportunity to have talks, emphasizing in particular the importance of developing defence cooperation between the two countries. On this occasion, he presented a letter of invitation from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, for Minister Gašić to attend the 17th International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2025 and the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition NAVDEX 2025 that will be held in Abu Dhabi in February next year.
Minister Gašić thanked for the invitation to attend this event.
