Army, Infantry Day celebrated
Military ceremonies were held today in the garrisons and garrison towns where the Serbian Armed Forces are stationed, to mark the Army Day and the Infantry Day, which commemorate November 16, 1914, when the Battle of Kolubara began.
The main event marking the Army Day was held at the Army Club in Niš, where awards were presented to the best individuals and major achievements in building the operational and functional capabilities of this SAF service were highlighted.
The review of past year’s results achieved by the Army highlighted their professionalism, commitment to fulfilling their tasks and competence proven in numerous exercises and live-fire drills, confirming their unwavering support for the security and sovereignty of our country.
Wreaths and flowers were laid near the memorials dedicated to the participants in Serbia’s liberation and defensive wars, and the military orchestra from Niš performed a promenade concert on the city’s streets and squares.
