Expert talks on bilateral military cooperation with United States of America
Representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, US Office of the Defense Cooperation in Belgrade, United States European Command (USEUCOM) and the Ohio National Guard have held expert talks at the Guard Club in Belgrade to plan bilateral military cooperation activities with the USA for fiscal year 2026.
The participants confirmed the progress made in 2024, identified areas of defence cooperation in the next fiscal year, drew up guidelines for it and decided on the modalities to further improve it, which contributes to strengthening the overall bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the USA.
On that occasion, Col. Goran Timotijević, head of the Bilateral Cooperation Section, International Military Cooperation Department, Defence Policy Sector, Ministry of Defence, and Lt. Col. Daniel O'Connor, chief of the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation-Belgrade, signed the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for fiscal year 2025. The plan was drawn up taking into consideration the Conclusion of the Government of the Republic of Serbia which introduced a moratorium on exercises with foreign military partners.
