Specialist training of soldiers on military service
Soldiers performing military service since September 2024 are undergoing training for infantry, artillery, armoured units and engineering specialties at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac.
The soldiers have been assigned to this unit after completing basic training, in order to be able to perform military duties they were recruited for, in line with their specialties.
At the Centre, they are being trained to use branch-specific weapons in combat, mines and explosive ordnance, and undertake offensive and defensive tactical actions. The training activity is carried out in specially equipped study rooms and training grounds at the ‘General Pavle Jurišić Šturm’ Barracks, which provide soldiers with excellent conditions for acquiring knowledge and skills in using combat equipment, their servicing and basic maintenance.
The soldiers are then supposed to do field training, exercises with mines and explosive ordnance and firing with branch-specific weapons, and then to pass a test of their ability to perform military tasks, which will round off the specialist training phase.
The soldiers will spend the last three months of their military service on collective training in Army units actively involved in the implementation of their daily tasks.
