"Shield-07” Tactical Exercise
This week, at the South Base and Borovac training area, the "Shield-07" tactical exercise has been conducted according to the of Operational Capabilities Concept to evaluate the competence of the units of the Serbian Armed Forces declared for the participation in multinational operations.
The evaluation included the Military Police platoon and the CBRN platoon from the composition of the Army that carried out tactical tasks adapted to the situations they can face during operations in the international environment, following the given exercise scenario.
In accordance with the readiness level reached, the military police platoon and the CBRN platoon passed the final evaluation level 2 carried out by the international evaluation team. They fully met the required standards of competence for deployment to peacekeeping operations, demonstrating a high level of qualifications and professional attitude towards tasks.
According to the Operational Capabilities Concept, which represents one of the forms of cooperation within the Partnership for Peace programme, units declared to participate in multinational operations undergo comprehensive preparations and four levels of interoperability and combat readiness evaluation.In addition to the aforementioned MP and CBRN platoons, the Serbian Armed Forces has trained and combat-ready units of various specialties that have been according to this concept.
