Minister Gašić opens newly-constructed hall at Prvi Partizan

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić opened today a newly-constructed hall for the assembly and packaging of ammunition at Prvi Partizan ammunition factory in Užice.
On that occasion, the Minister of Defence attended the signing of a contract between the Ministry of Defence and Prvi Partizan to purchase the products manufactured by this Užice-based factory for the purpose of equipping the Serbian Armed Forces. Тhe contract was signed, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, by Colonel Dragan Panić, representative of the Material Resources Sector, and the general manager of Prvi Partizan, Dobrosav Andrić. Minister Gašić emphasized the importance of Prvi Partizan’s manufacturing facilities “which maintain an almost 96-year-old tradition”.

According to him, the industrious workers of this Užice factory have been building this tradition for almost a century on a foundation of quality and reliability, and thanks to continuous investments, the factory has progressed and developed, expanding its capacities and improving its manufacturing processes.
- The opening of Prvi Partizan’s new hall is another indicator that the state and the military are investing their efforts into further development and advancement of the defence industry. The construction of new production facilities in Užice and the creation of new jobs acts as an additional incentive for young people who wish to continue living and working in this city, he added.
