Minister Gašić attends signing of agreement between Ministry of Defence, Krušik

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić attended today the signing of agreement between the Ministry of Defence and Krušik Holdco, at this Valjevo-based company’s premises.
The contract to procure Krušik’s products for the purpose of equipping the Serbian Armed Forces was signed, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, by a representative of the Material Resources Sector, Colonel Dragan Panić, and the acting general manager of Krušik, Jovanka Andrić.

On that occasion, Minister Gašić said that the signing of the agreement was important for both the Serbian Armed Forces and the domestic defence industry, or, more precisely, for Krušik.
- This is another proof that the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence look after the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces and that they constantly work to strengthen SAF’s capabilities, making sure at the same time that investments are made in our defence industry and that its capabilities are strengthened.  It is important that our factories put the needs, i.e. priorities of the Serbian Armed Forces, first, and thus contribute to the security of our country and all its citizens – said the Minister of Defence.

Speaking about the defence industry, Minister Gašić emphasized that it had already proved itself to be a reliable partner to the Serbian Armed Forces in modernizing and enhancing their capabilities.

During today’s visit, the Minister of Defence met with Krušik’s management, with whom he discussed matters of importance for the factory’s business activities, as well as plans for the upcoming period. After the meeting, he visited one of the factory’s production facilities.
During the tour of the factory, Minister Gašić was accompanied by the Head of Office of the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Goran Momčilović, and Head of the Defence Technologies Department, Material Resources Sector, Brigadier General Slavko Rakić.
