Meeting between Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, KFOR Commander
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has met with the outgoing KFOR Commander, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, who is paying a farewell visit and whose one-year appointment to this position ends next week.
During the meeting, they discussed the current security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the scope of cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR during General Ulutaş’s appointment as head of international security forces in our southern province.
Speaking about the security situation in the Province, General Mojsilović said that it was still unstable and sensitive, predominantly due to the unilateral and provocative moves by the provisional institutions of self-government in Priština, whose final goal is to change the ethnic structure in the north of Kosovo and Metohija.
General Mojsilović thanked General Ulutaş for good cooperation and professional commitment as KFOR Commander, wishing him every success in his future roles.
The new KFOR Commander will be Italian Major General Enrico Barduani, who will be appointed head of international security forces in Kosovo and Metohija on October 11, 2024.
