Spanish soldiers train at CBRN Training Centre

Members of the Spanish Armed Forces are currently doing a training course on handling toxic chemicals at the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Training Centre.
The training, which aims to improve the Spanish CBRN unit members’ knowledge about toxic chemicals and workplace safety and to provide them with practical knowledge, is being conducted in specialized laboratories and at the Ravnjak Range in Kruševac, with the professional support of instructors from our Centre.

The two-week training programme includes both theoretical and practical methods of learning. It focuses on the reconnaissance of contaminated soil and buildings, detection of chemicals and decontamination of weapons and equipment, as well as on medical assistance for chemical poisoning.
Members of the Spanish Armed Forces have been attending training course on handling toxic chemicals at the Serbian Armed Forces’ Training Centre since 2016. This is one in a series of activities undertaken as part of the bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and Spain, and its aims to strengthen the mutual trust and overall relations between the two countries.
