Course on public financial management in defence system begins
A course on public financial management in the defence system, organized by the MOD Budget and Finance Sector, for members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, started today at the Accounting Centre.
At the opening ceremony, the head of the Accounting Centre, Colonel Tomislav Radivojević, Ph.D., stressed the importance of continuous professional development for the finance corps personnel at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in order for them to refresh the existing and gain new knowledge and experience in the field of public financial management, in accordance with current regulations. 
The training programme comprises the financial management system at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, the accounting system, auditing and financial control, planning at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, the budget of the Republic of Serbia and financing the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, review and reports on the implementation of the financial plan, information system for salaries, benefits and other income, as well as open items, the electronic invoicing system and the role of the SOVO Fund (Social Insurance Fund for Military Personnel) in the public financial management system.
