Minister Gašić offers condolences to families who lost loved ones in traffic accident near Ušće

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić has sent a telegram of condolences to the Lazović and Kutlačić families over the loss of their loved ones, who were tragically killed when a civilian car collided with a military vehicle belonging to the Serbian Armed Forces near the village of Ušće, on the Kraljevo-Raška road.

The message sent to the family of Corporal Danijel Lazović, member of the Second Army Brigade reads as follows:

“There are no words to describe my sadness over the tragedy that took the lives of Corporal Danijel Lazović and his three children. The horrific circumstances of the tragedy have left us petrified and speechless.

I am speaking to you firstly as a father and a grandfather, and only secondly as the Minister of Defence. My heart and the hearts of all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces go out to you in your time of sorrow. Please accept our deepest, heartfelt condolences.

Your family has lost a son and three grandchildren. The Serbian Armed Forces have lost an honest and loyal soldier. Serbia has lost its citizens, people who would have built it and rejoiced to live in it.

The fact that three innocent young lives were extinguished in an instant breaks everyone’s hearts.

At this time when no words can ease your pain, I pray to God to give your family the strength to overcome this tragedy.
Be confident that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will stand by you and provide you with every possible assistance and support.

May your loved ones rest in peace.
Minister of Defence
Bratislav Gašić”
