Engagement of Serbian Armed Forces, Ohio National Guard engineer units
As part of a project implemented under the Serbia-Ohio State Partnership Program, engineer units of the Serbian Armed Forces and the U.S. federal state of Ohio conducted engineering works at the Borovac Training Area over the past two weeks.
The activity included lectures, exchange of experiences and working together to refurbish a military facility, utilizing modern engineering machinery that is in service at the Serbian Armed Forces.In addition to improving the training area’s infrastructure, the activity also helped engineers improve their skills in carrying out tasks they could be assigned in operations, such as negotiating and removing obstacles, building camps, covers and shelters, and building and maintaining roads.
The Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard maintain successful cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest, with the aim of enhancing the capabilities and interoperability of units and strengthening the overall military to military relationship between the Republic of Serbia and the United States of America.
