Minister visits the military base "Istocni Mojstir"
Minister of defense Dragan Sutanovac visited yesterday with his associates “Istocni Mojstir” military base where he spoke with the commanders and soldiers of the unit in charge of security in the region.After touring the base, the Minister, accompanied by LTG Miletic, SAF CHOD and the mayor of Tutin Bajra Geric, said that the security situation was regular and stable in this area controller by the Second Brigade, and that cooperation was at a high level.
”I am pleased to have the mayor of Tutin here today with us as we want to establish good cooperation with him and the municipalities of Sjenica and Novi Pazar. All SAF members in the base, including even the female soldiers performing their tasks, are professional soldiers, which fact testifies to a rising interest of local people in the military profession. As the minister stated, a large number of girls wants to apply and join armed forces.The Mayor of Tutin Bajro Geric said that the cooperation of local people and the army was very good, adding that there was still room for improvement. The first step, in his words, is the construction of the road in the base.
The SAF CHOD has expressed his pleasure at seeing no real violations of security in the last period, and at seeing the cooperation of SAF and local population improving. He remarked that the living and working conditions for professional army members in the base were good thanks to the efforts invested by MoD and SAF.
