Ministry of Defence launches competition for student scholarships
The Ministry of Defence has launched a competition for the award of 56 student scholarships for the academic year 2024/2025 for 33 students attending an undergraduate programme and 23 students pursuing a master’s degree. They will have the opportunity to ensure financial support during their education and secure employment with the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree, who meet the scholarship requirements, will receive RSD 50,000 per month, while monthly scholarship for the students pursuing a master’s degree will be RSD 60,000.Students attending higher education institutions founded by the Republic of Serbia, an autonomous province or a local self-government unit, who have enrolled on a bachelor’s or a master’s degree programme for the first time in the current academic year and whose education is funded from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, are eligible for the Ministry of Defence student scholarship. Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Serbia and have permanent residence in the territory of Serbia. Only the students who have not repeated a single year of study, who have passed all their exams in previous years of study, and have achieved the required academic performance (specified in advance for every scholarship) are eligible to apply.
After completing their studies, scholarship holders will be offered employment with the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces as officers or civilian employees in Belgrade, Batajnica, Jakovo, Zuce, Pančevo, Kraljevo or Kragujevac.Applications must be filed by October 31, 2024.
