Visit to MMA’s Institute of Radiology
Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited the Institute of Radiology, Military Medical Academy, accompanied by the Head of the Military Health Department, Brigadier General Radivoje Anđelković, DVM.
During the visit, the Head of the Institute, Colonel Dejan Kostić, MD-PhD, presented to the Minister of Defence the capacities of the Institute, which provides diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology and radiotherapy services to international standards, both to the patients of the Military Medical Academy and other health institutions, as well as the equipment and scanners used at the Institute.
Minister Gašić visited the Department of MRI and Computerized Radiology and the Department of Radiotherapy.
He thanked the members of the military health - doctors and other medical personnel, for their dedicated work and effort and for doing their best to preserve the most valuable thing - people's health.
- The fact that nearly 55,000 radiological procedures were performed in the first half of this year alone speaks of the importance of the military health system for both military and civilian patients. I am confident that the MMA will continue to provide patients with the best health care in the future and that it will keep its reputation as one of the most respectable healthcare institutions in Serbia and in the region - said Minister Gašić, highlighting citizens’ trust in the MMA.
The minister was accompanied on the tour by State Secretary Mile Jelić, Acting Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Hospitality Services Boriša Roljić and Head of Office of the Minister of Defence Brigadier General Goran Momčilović.
