Training on new domestically produced armoured vehicles

Units of the 1st Army Brigade are undergoing training for the combat use and maintenance of new domestically produced armoured personnel carriers that are in service at the Serbian Armed Forces.
These 4x4 mine-protected combat vehicles allow soldiers to move around the battlefield safely, and can be used on all types of terrain and in different weather and tactical conditions.

The first training phase involves permanent crew members - commander/gunner and driver, and subsequent phases involve an infantry squad aboard, as well.

What follows is tactical field training and live fire exercises designed to prepare unit members for the combat use of APCs on their own and in coordination with other Serbian Armed Forces units.
The combat vehicle is armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun, has firing slits on the sides and smoke grenade launchers. Its introduction into service has improved the units’ manoeuvrability, firepower, ability to launch attacks while moving and strengthened the protection of SAF infantry units.
